Since the COC contains precise technical details about the vehicle at the time of its production, only the original manufacturer has access to the necessary data to generate this document.

As an authorized intermediary, 321COC provides authentic and official COCs that are valid across all EU and EEA countries, including Switzerland. Each COC is obtained directly from the manufacturer or its official representative, ensuring its compliance with European regulations.

Each Certificate of Conformity (COC) is unique and directly linked to the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of the specific vehicle. Typically, a COC consists of 51 technical points, each detailing key specifications of the vehicle, such as engine type, emission standards, weight, dimensions, fuel consumption, and more.

All our COC documents are official originals, issued either by the vehicle manufacturer or an authorized representative of the brand. However, the first copy of the document is considered the true original and is intended for the vehicle’s first owner. Any additional copies may be marked as “Duplicate” or “Copy”, but they retain full validity as a Certificate of Conformity, including all security features such as a hologram, watermark, or signature.

The initial issuance of a Certificate of Conformity (COC) is typically provided free of charge when purchasing a brand-new vehicle directly from an authorized dealer. However, if you are buying a pre-owned car, second-hand vehicle, light commercial vehicle, scooter, or motorcycle, the original COC has most likely already been issued to the first owner. Any subsequent copy, referred to as a duplicate, is subject to a fee. 

Since the vehicle manufacturer maintains the official database for COC records, they charge a mandatory fee for each additional copy. As a result, there is always a cost associated with obtaining a COC. Be cautious of free COCs available online, as these are likely to be invalid or unofficial and may not be accepted for vehicle registration.
